It's a significant increase from the 80 per cent year-on-year growth ASOS reported for the same period in 2007.
Speaking at the company's AGM today, ASOS CEO Nick Robertson told shareholders the ASOS.com site had 1.83 million registered users and 890,000 active customers (defined by the company as having shopped at the site within the last six months) at 28 September, up from 490,000 last year.
He said in a statement: "We believe our business dynamics and customer base should be resilient to the wider economic issues and that online shopping will continue to gain market share. That said, we face tougher second-half comparables, and we still need to trade through the all-important Christmas period before we can accurately assess our performance for the full year."
