While mobile phones are a long way from achieving proper green credentials, a few manufacturers are going after consumers' eco-pound with handsets that promise a reduced environmental impact.
One of the new breed is the Nokia 3110 Evolve, which sports covers made from 50 per cent renewable material and less packaging than your average mobile. It also comes with a 'low load' charger, which consumes much less energy than other chargers if you leave it plugged in when your phone is not charging.
Needless to say, you can also recycle the device when you upgrade.
