Facebook users will now be able to buy a pizza to keep them going through sheep-throwing marathons without ever having to leave the social networking site.

Pizza Hut has announced the creation of an online ordering app for Facebook, named the Pizza Hut Interface.

The app integrates with Pizza Hut's existing ecommerce system, allowing users to "order pizza, pasta and wings" for delivery, and remembers users' favourites for the next time they order.

Pizza lovers can already order the chain's cheesy fare online and through the mobile web, as well as via text message. The chain recently sold its millionth pizza order online in the UK.

Pizza Hut's main rival, Dominos, also offers both web ordering, which now accounts for more than one in every six pizzas sold and the ability to order over SMS.
