As the downturn bites and UK consumers rediscover the joys of staying at home, Domino's is grabbing a big slice of the online pizza market.
According to the pizza chain's latest full year results, while like-for-like sales have grown 10 per cent year-on-year, its web sales have jumped by 74 per cent.
For the 52 weeks ended 28 December 2008, Domino's generated £58m in online pizza sales - a significant jump on 2007's figure of £32.2m.
Domino's said: "Ecommerce continues to be a major platform for building business."
The year has also seen some record breaking for the dough-slinger: for the first time, Domino's reported a number of weekends breaking the £1m barrier for web sales.
