National Lottery terminals across the UK were out of service yesterday as operator Camelot carried out software upgrades designed to revamp its terminals.
The terminals were offline for most of Sunday as part of a planned upgrade to implement a gaming system that includes a new graphical user interface and touchscreen technology.

Some of the terminals were back in operation ahead of schedule and the work has added 1,300 new terminals to the network, taking the total to 27,600.
The switchover was the culmination of 18 months work to replace the previous ISYS terminals and infrastructure with new Altura devices.
The software and terminals have been developed with gaming technology company Gtech while IBM provided hardware and additional software.
The work also included the expansion of National Lottery Fast Pay system, which allows players to use a card that stores their favourite numbers.
According to Camelot, the work appears to have had little effect on revenue with early indications suggesting sales are up, largely due to this week's Lotto Rollover.
