Frozen foods retailer Iceland has signed a £11.5m deal with hosting company Getronics.

The deal, a contract renewal which will last until 2015, includes around-the-clock server hosting and systems management, service desk, PC and mobile device support.

Additionally, the company will take over Iceland's database management and managed print services.

According to Iceland IS director Mark Pearson, Getronics will "provide increased support" in business critical areas such as antivirus, as well as support for the retailer's fleet of BlackBerrys.

"The changes made to the contract have provided us with stability and security in terms of our IT platform in the current financial climate," he said in a statement.
