Indian outsourcer HCL inked a seven-year, $350m deal with media company Readers Digest Association (RDA).
Under the agreement, HCL will run RDA's IT infrastructure across its operations in 45 countries including the UK.
HCL will take over applications development and infrastructure support, as well as security, storage, end-user computing, Wintel and Unix server management.
The outsourcer will also revamp the company's legacy systems, including its mainframe.
According to Albert L Perruzza, RDA's SVP for global operations, IT and business redesign, the agreement will mean "dramatic reductions" in the cost of IT for the company.
