Welcome to the British Music Experience (BME) which recently opened at the O2 in East London. The exhibition is a high-tech tour of UK music's rich and varied history.

The creators of the exhibition have worked with network services company NEC to use RFID smart-ticketing, touchscreen technology and personalised website content to make the BME as interactive as possible.

silicon.com reporter Tim Ferguson went along to the O2 to try out the technology - and some guitars.
