Men in yellow help boys in blue...

Meet Sarah, an operator at the Highways Agency (HA) Regional Control Centre in Surrey.

When someone contacts the HA, either through emergency phones on the motorway or via the emergency services, Sarah is one of the people who handles the call.

Jumped up Traffic Wardens minceing round the country in gas-guzzling top of the range 4x4 Toyota Landcruisers that serve no purpose.

Have limited legal powers so can't investigate an accident, prosecute an idiot using a mobile phone, deal with speeders, can't help at a crash as their 4x4's bizzarely don't have tow-bar's, in fact all they seem to do is sit behind a broken down car with they yellow lights on waiting on the RAC/AA arriving and do the fix or recovery work.

Another shocking waste of taxpayers money. Buy them a Renault Kangoo van instead !!! By definition, they work for the HIGHWAY's agency. They don't need 4x4's, there are roads !!!

The call centre people look semi-useful though
