NB: Amazon profits fall

Despite shifting truckloads of copies of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince in July, Amazon has reported a 44 per cent drop in profits in the third quarter - due in part to a $40m settlement of a patents infringement lawsuit. Does this bode poorly for the upcoming online holiday shopping season?
