NB: Google.org gets Brilliant chief

Google has named the executive director of its charitable arm, Google.org, as Dr Larry Brilliant, a man who - according to the SF Chronicle - "has helped eliminate smallpox in the Third World, founded a pioneering online community and rubbed elbows with the Grateful Dead".
