
Google has named the executive director of its charitable arm, Google.org, as Dr Larry Brilliant, a man who - according to the SF Chronicle - "has helped eliminate smallpox in the Third World, founded a pioneering online community and rubbed elbows with the Grateful Dead". More on the man who will run "what is destined to become one of the world's largest charitable institutions" here.
