Councils in the UK are using more emerging and mobile technology to improve their service to citizens, a survey has revealed.
Urban councils are more progressive in their use of mobile technology but 68 per cent of councils in general are planning to use a diverse range of mobile devices in the future.
Popular choices are digital pen and paper, finding favour with nearly one-third of councils, and smart phones. PDAs did not fare as well, with only seven per cent of respondents considering their use.
