Tories: We will end the database state

Pledge to up privacy on government info

The Conservatives have said they will cut back on government databases and increase public privacy if they win the next election.

In a policy paper published on Wednesday, the Tories call for stricter access rights to information stored on government databases and for fewer databases altogether.
