QMAS
The Quality Management and Analysis System, known as QMAS, is a new national IT system, which gives GP practices and Primary Care Trusts feedback on the quality of care delivered to patients.
The system shows how well each practice is doing, measured against national achievement targets.
What progress so far?
QMAS started to be rolled out in 2004 and by mid-February 2005 every GP clinical system supplier had supplied QMAS software to all of England's GP sites.
