Jeffrey Katzenberg runs DreamWorks Animation - the home of computer-generated animated movies including Shrek and Kung Fu Panda.

Monsters vs. Aliens, the company's first film produced in 3D, is slated for a release date in March 2009.

The movies that DreamWorks Animation creates use an enormous amount of behind-the-scenes technology to create lifelike characters, which means it is an early adopter of a number of technologies.

But it's not a love of Shrek that has the Agenda Setters judges voting for Katzenberg this year but rather their belief that the groundbreaking work of the studio in using new digital projection technologies could mark out a path for the future of our television viewing.

According to one judge, Katzenberg is "leading the future of cinema, especially in terms of how we consume cinema content and how digital distribution can change our ideas of what it means to go and see a new movie".
