Marc Benioff is one of the keenest evangelists of software as a service and has continued to drive Salesforce.com - a company he founded in 1999 - forwards in his own inimitable style.
This is the fourth time Benioff has featured in the Agenda Setters list - he peaked at number 10 in 2004.
Benioff's slide down the Agenda Setters list is more to do with the fact software as a service is now an established part of the technology industry than with a marked lessening of his influence.
Highlights over the past 12 months include Salesforce successfully distributing its software-as-a-service platform - Force.com, on which businesses can develop and run their own on-demand applications - and integrating its CRM software with Google Apps.
Although CRM remains the company's bread and butter, Benioff is demonstrating he has even more to offer the tech world.
