No. 34 Mark Cuban, serial entrepreneur and blogger
Last year's position: Not placed
If you haven't heard of Mark Cuban, you've certainly heard of blogging, a phenomenon where the serial entrepreneur has enjoyed considerable success. An active blogger and owner of the Dallas Mavericks, Cuban is the man behind BlogScour.com, an aggregator tool for the blogs people want to read. In the same way Google realised there was more value in organising web content than producing it, so Cuban has realised the value of bringing order to the world of blogs. And he knows a thing or two about the web, having sold Broadcast.com to Yahoo!.
He has also launched HD Net, high definition television for the web, from which the Agenda Setters panel expects great things in the coming 12 months. So watch this space.
Take a walk down memory lane - and find out who made the Agenda Setters poll over the years:
"China clearly has many dimensions and many are setting an agenda. It's at the political level, it's at the investment level, it's at the contract manufacturing level and it's at the software level - it's all over."
--Peter Rowell, Regent Associates executive chairman and Agenda Setters panellist
