Why? Bringing intelligence to corporate search
As corporations' data continues to proliferate exponentially, the ability to search those bits and bytes and quickly find what you need has become ever more essential. Mike Lynch and Autonomy are part of the solution.
Unlike most search technology, Autonomy's products employ a Bayesian statistics inference model, which uses pattern recognition to deliver intelligent search results. It has proved particularly useful for tasks such as finding that one email among millions which can make or break a business deal.
As one Agenda Setters panellist said: "It's the next step in search engines. Instead of having Google which gives you 15 million references to your query…This thing actually provides a bit of intelligence to the search."
It's providing this smart technology in an essential area that earns Lynch his first appearance on the Agenda Setters list.
