Welcome to Nokia's Beijing mobile phone factory - one of four plants the company runs in China.

silicon.com got a look inside as part of reporter Dan Ilett's recent trip to China. Read more about his visit to the Nokia factory in his daily diary.

According to Nokia, the factory made 200 million phones last year. Fifty per cent were sold in China and the rest went out to other parts of the world.

There are roughly 400 million mobile phone subscribers in China.
