Robin Dargue is a young, high-flying rising star of the profession and took over the role of CIO and business process director at drinks giant Diageo in 2003 - then aged just 36.
Prior to that he had been business process director at the company and business services director and IS director at UDV (which became part of Guinness and then Diageo).
IT is a core component for business growth and continuity across Diageo's 180 markets and Dargue's remit includes the challenge of implementing a wall-to-wall SAP platform across Diageo's diverse markets and geographies, as well as exploiting IT for commercial and competitive advantage.
Dargue's earlier career includes stints at Mars and Logica Financial Systems.
He gets away from the pressures of work by indulging in his passion for cycling, diving and piloting light aircraft.
