Ian Campbell's career includes both senior business and IT roles at a string of large, global, blue-chip organisations and he has significant experience in setting up new businesses in emerging markets.

Prior to British Energy Campbell held a board-level role at telco Energis (now part of Cable & Wireless) and before that was COO at financial services giant Citigroup.

A graduate of the London School of Economics, Campbell has also worked in senior technology roles at PA Consulting and Logica.

He is also chairman of blue-chip IT user group the Corporate IT Forum and takes an active role in the organisation's development.
