As CIO, Steve Chambers has been responsible for Visa Europe's regional data centre as well as continuing the development of numerous systems and delivering a new payments architecture.

Chambers has also worked to establish a customer service support system that spans Europe, along with the implementation of large and complex hardware and software systems.

He has worked on the supplier side in the payments sectors for most of his career and has developed skills in IT, marketing and sales along the way

Before joining Visa back in 2004, Chambers worked for financial markets association ACI - where he was vice-president - and financial tech company First Data Resources as head of information technology.
