Graham Knight CIO50 2008
As CIO of General Healthcare Group - the largest independent owner of private hospitals in the UK with 54 acute care hospitals and 37 pharmacies - Knight has a variety of challenges.
Knight is working on an enterprise master patient index along with a new outpatient scheduling system, as well as improving data quality and connectivity to the NHS network. There is also work to implement digital radiology across the group along with a Pacs system, which allows for the digital distribution of X-rays and scans.
He has also worked as CTO and programme director at General Healthcare in Europe, Asia and the US.
Knight has always worked in IT across a wide range of industry sectors, including senior roles at AXA/PPP Healthcare, BDO Stoy Hayward, Coopers & Lybrand, Lloyds TSB and PriceWaterhouseCoopers.
Knight is studying for an MBA at Cass Business School in London and is helping his wife launch an online baby clothing boutique business.
