A photo guide to London's wi-fi pubs

A useful resource if ever we saw one...

The Lord Moon of the Mall - 16-18 Whitehall, SW1A

OK, confession time. It is part of the Wetherspoon's pub chain with all that entails but it has a very good wi-fi network, it's in an excellent location for central London and the drinks are cheap – for London. As long as you're not too precious about such things as atmosphere this is a decent enough place to kill an hour online between meetings, conference sessions or while waiting for a train from Charing Cross or Victoria. (map)

It is in the heart of London's tourist centre, beside Trafalgar Square and half a mile from Buckingham Palace, so there's a steady stream of tourists and city workers propping up the bar and occupying the plethora of tables within its roomy interior.

Cheap and cheerful food is also the order of the day and it's worth noting that many other pubs in the Wetherspoon's chain also offer wi-fi all courtesy of The Cloud, so that should provide you with more than a few options for a largely homogenous pub experience with ubiquitous wi-fi in many London locations. It opens for breakfast as well, so if you'd rather not get your coffee and go online in Starbucks, this could be an alternative.

We are looking to grow this list into a more comprehensive resource and we welcome your feedback. If you know of a great pub with a good wi-fi connection, drop us an email at editorial@silicon.com.
