A photo guide to London's wi-fi pubs

A useful resource if ever we saw one...

The Wellington - 351 The Strand, WC2

There are multiple wireless internet providers covering this very nicely and fairly recently refitted pub and though none of them are on-site there are good signals with BT Openzone and Liberty-izone, provided by a nearby hotel and available for a credit card charge.

The benefit of the external provision is that on a sunny day you can even take your laptop out onto a table and watch the crowds milling around this bustling area of town. (map)

The pub is located on the north side of Waterloo Bridge, next to the Lyceum Theatre on the eastern side of Covent Garden, and is conveniently located for central London's business areas.

It's a short walk from Waterloo, Charing Cross and is pretty handy for Holborn and surrounding area too. The choice of food and drink is perhaps as you'd expect from somewhere that is catering largely for a tourist clientele. As are the prices.

We are looking to grow this list into a more comprehensive resource and we welcome your feedback. If you know of a great pub with a good wi-fi connection, drop us an email at editorial@silicon.com.
