Cable and Wireless has signed a £1.8m deal with Quadriga Worldwide to provide a converged voice and data network.

The three-year deal will see C&W running an IP VPN for the hotel digital entertainment company that can prioritise Quadriga's information according to its relative urgency - for example, ensuring business-critical traffic is delivered before everyday email.

Quadriga's product and technology director Hyacynth Nwana said the consolidation would mean significant savings for the company.

The IP VPN is also being evaluated to see whether it can be used to provide IP services to hotel customers in Quadriga-equipped properties.
