No interruption of service please, we're European

The Council of Europe has put in place new internal telephone services, opting for a switch to VoIP.
From now on, all communications from the 4,000 seats in the Council's offices in Strasbourg will be routed through IP.
The call for tenders for the migration was won by the French network integrator, Amec Spie Communications.
The integrator has been charged with ensuring there is no interruption of service during the switchover and that the new system is based as much as possible on the equipment already in place.
The Council of Europe is already using exchanges compatible with VoIP and 3,500 digital high-end lines. The core of the network has been changed and the new software platform put in place.
The value of the deal has not been disclosed.
