From Google to gaggle

Google has launched a feature enabling people directly involved in news stories to add comments to items aggregated on its US news site - bringing the search giant a step closer to being a content provider, says The Guardian. The paper quotes the editor of a media blog network as saying: "This is an attempt by Google to hijack not only media but the entire online conversation."
