
Millions of Facebook users are leaving themselves open to identity theft by giving strangers access to their personal information, reports The Times and The Telegraph. Researchers found people happily divulge personal information such as their date of birth, phone numbers and workplace details to strangers, which could be exploited by cyber criminals to create fake IDs and access online accounts.
