
According to the scientists behind it, the internet could soon be a thing of the past. They have pioneered a web replacement which will be capable of downloading feature films in seconds, The Times reports. "The grid" will be 10,000 times faster than the internet and is set to "revolutionise" society, says one of the professors working on the project.
