silicon.com today launched a new section of the site aimed at business and IT decision-makers in the retail and leisure sectors.

The new section - Retail & Leisure - will provide up-to-the-minute news, detailed analysis, case studies and commentary for executives who need the latest information about technology and business issues.

It will report on the technology choices for organisations as diverse as supermarkets and high street retailers - through to sports stadiums, hotels and tourist attractions.

The Retail & Leisure section of silicon.com will also be backed up by a weekly newsletter which will include links to all the top content of the week, so you never need miss an important story.

Retailers are among the most innovative users of new technology.

silicon.com's editor and site director Tony Hallett said: "Retail & Leisure is part of our successful strategy of providing targeted content for the key vertical industry markets. The Public Sector and Financial Services sections have proved a real hit with readers, and Retail & Leisure is going to be another great addition to silicon.com.

"Retailers are among the most innovative users of new technology and the launch of this new section of silicon.com will give executives all the information they need in one place."
