In the MX5, the iPod is connected to the stereo system via a port in the glovebox.
The system can then be controlled via the stereo system, with several options to change tracks and playlists, although the track and artist names only appear on the iPod.
Controls on the steering wheel allow the driver to select tracks, adjust volume and mute the music.
You can specify the iPod-only system for other Mazdas for around £190, although the MX5 is the only one with the system as standard at the moment.
