A £3m chip and PIN rollout, 700 installations over the summer...

Clinton Cards is about to roll out a chip and PIN electronic point of sale (Epos) system costing just under £3m to its store estate.
The retailer forecasts the system will reduce costs by £1m across third-party maintenance and support contracts and by cutting card fraud.

The rollout, which is expected to be completed across more than 1,000 sites by September, extends a system already installed in the retailer's 362 Birthdays stores in June last year and goes alongside a £4.3m store refurbishment.
Speaking to silicon.com, Clinton Group finance director Barry Hartog said the new Epos system will allow the retailer to move away from overnight polling.
He said: "All our stores have a broadband connection over the internet and this will allow us to develop monitoring systems that allow us to trade more effectively. We are already conducting analysis on issues like ranging from much more up-to-date data.
"Every Saturday we send a sales report to each of our suppliers broken down by store, range and each SKU [stock keeping unit]. The data we get back from the new system will help us to develop our business through this."
