According to a survey of 7,000 shoppers across the top 30 UK retail websites by ForeSee Results, overall satisfaction has increased one per cent year-on-year when measuring functionality, price merchandise and content. Overall satisfaction is now ranked 67 out of 100, compared to last year's 66.
The survey, conducted between 28 November and 15 December, found Play.com and Amazon UK share the top satisfaction ranking among consumers. eBay UK, Apple iTunes UK and Screwfix Direct came in second, third and fourth respectively.
According to e-retail group IMRG, Christmas is a crucial time for online retailers, which should be making sales even on the bank holidays when their high street rivals are shut.
The organisation predicts £103.6m will be spent by five million online shoppers on Christmas Day alone, up from £84m last year, as consumers divest themselves of Christmas money and gift vouchers.
