Considering hitting the shops at the weekend? Looking for inspiration? Check out the latest in our series of gadget mini-reviews, courtesy of silicon.com's sister site CNET.co.uk, the home of technology reviews. For the full review and details, click on the link below.

What is it:
10-megapixel superzoom with 720p video recording

Typical price:
£279.99 - £293.99

We like:
Build and finish; handling and controls; stills quality; movie quality; 12x zoom and super-wideangle lens

We don't like:
Slow zooming and AF in movie mode

The judgement:
Although the TZ7's movie mode is great, the AF and zoom need to be quicker. But hey, you're getting a top-quality, 12x super-wideangle superzoom and HD movies all in camera that fits in your pocket - amazing
