Angela Morrison is to leave her post as IT director at supermarket chain Sainsbury's this summer.

Morrison, who had been at the retailer for four years, will be replaced by Rob Fraser, currently VP of consumer, technology and transport at CSC.

Previous to joining CSC, Fraser held the position of group IT director at Boots until the post was axed in 2007.

Previous to his 10 years at Boots, Fraser also held positions with Arthur Andersen, Marks & Spencer and Rank Xerox.

Fraser will take over the role of Sainsbury's IT director from Morrison this autumn.

Justin King, chief executive of Sainsbury's, said in a statement: "Under Angela's leadership our IT function has undergone considerable change, including the successful in-sourcing of IT back into the company in 2006, and the creation of an IT platform to support the future growth of the business. We thank Angela for the important contribution she has made to Sainsbury’s success and we wish her well in the future."
