High street retailer Marks & Spencer has awarded a four-year managed service contract to tech services provider Logicalis.
The multi-million pound contract will see Logicalis help to improve the efficiency of the M&S IT network and support the cost-effective roll out of new tech services.

The Logicalis Managed Service Centre and onsite teams will provide the M&S IT team with engineering, design and development support for both the wired and wireless networks in M&S' 591 UK stores and regional offices.
The contract will cover the existing IT infrastructure but also includes the development and rollout of new business processes, such as transaction and point-of-sale services.
All new M&S stores opened during the course of the contract will be migrated onto the Logicalis network monitoring service.
Damone Quigley, head of infrastructure and application services at M&S, said the company wanted a partner that could align IT with business needs, demonstrate innovation and adapt to future retail demands.
In August M&S awarded IBM a separate multi-million pound contract to upgrade its in-store systems.
