NEWS Sequent warned yesterday it will cut up to 250 jobs following poor second quarter results. Chief financial officer Bob Gregg estimated that 40 to 50 jobs will be lost from the company's UK operation. In a statement, Gregg drew attention to poor UK performance. But Paul Kelly, managing director for Sequent UK, defended his subsidiary, blaming poor sales on a lack of large deals in Q2 but adding that this was balanced out by good sales in Q1.
