NEWS Scottish miniature disk drive company, Calluna, has shown the first signs of profitability since it was hit by financial problems last year. The company now has a £10m order book and a turnover of over £1m per month. George Elliot, financial director at Calluna, said: "we hope it will be sustainable. We have a lot of new disk drive products and also a hardware solution that protects the hard drive from viruses and hackers, which is currently being evaluated by the US Pentagon." The company was forced to issue a rights order in December 1997, and undergo a massive managerial restructuring programme in order to raise £6m.
