Viglen switches to services as PC sales falter

NEWS Amstrad spin-off, Viglen, is to concentrate on network and software services following the gradual erosion of prices in the PC market. It's acquisiton of Xenon Network Services last February will underpin the move. According to chairman, Alan Sugar, corporate PC sales dropped 6 per cent on last year, while public sector sales fell 4 per cent. However, Viglen remains strong in the education market.
