NEWS Microsoft will release a bug fix to Windows 98 early next year, according to company executives. Kim Akers, Microsoft product manager, said the software release is designed to fix problems such as the date rollover bug which currently prevents systems from recognising date changes if the computer crashes before the year's end. Additional features include Internet mail security updates and support for USB modems.
