NEWS The founder of windows2000.com has decided not to press charges against Microsoft, after the Seattle giant labelled its next generation Windows NT operating system with the same name. Bob Kerstein, a former McCaw Cellular Communications executive, has the common-law trademark to the term Windows 2000. His Web site features a reference guide, Encyberpedia, and live views from cameras dotted around the world. A spokesman for Microsoft said they have named their operating systems by the year since 1995 and have been aware of the similarly titled Web site for some time. The spokesman also added they do not have any plans to take legal action against the Web site owner - despite owning the trademark to the Windows name.
