NEWS Novell has launched a beta format for the latest version of Novell Directory Service (NDS v8). Code-named Scads - or Scalable Directory Service - users can use the beta version on top of NetWare 5.0. Research company IDC expects the directory services market to be worth $5bn by 2000.
