Slow gains for thin client technology

By Dominic Maher, 18 June 1999 15:46

NEWS Two-thirds of organisations will be using some kind of thin client technology within the next two years, according to the National Computing Centre's (NCC) IT user survey. But only one in ten of those surveyed think thin clients will form a major part of their IT systems, with 40 per cent of those intending to use the technology will be doing so on a limited basis. NCs will only be used for specific project needs, and not for business-wide adoption, according to the NCC.
