NEWS Network Alliance is to supply British Airways (BA) with an end-to-end application flow management system for its network from NetScout Systems. The reseller will provide NetScout Manage Plus along with Token Ring NetScout probes to help network managers analyse congestion within the system. The main focus points of the system will be to monitor traffic, find bottlenecks and seek solutions to problems encountered. As the Heathrow site holds a large amount of Token Ring segments, a number of nodes will be a permanent fixture on the network - with additional nodes planned for remote sites.
