NEWS Internet Service Provider, PSINet, is to spend around $75m this year on EMC enterprise storage systems to backup its Web hosting facilities around the world. PSINet has already invested $15m since October and the remainder will be used in the 21 Web hosting centres it aims to open around the world by the end of 2000. The contract enforces the storage giant's aim to become a serious enterprise product supplier for e-companies. EMC also announced today that it has signed up 30 Internet-based business and services providers since it launched its e-infrastructure program October 26.
