NEWS In the wake of reports that Linux is becoming the operating system of choice in China, San Francisco-based TurboLinux has launched certification courses in China's ten largest cities. The classes will bring students up to Linux Professional Institute (LPI) certification standards. Iris Miller, president of TurboLinux China, claims there is currently no Linux training available through universities there. The three classes on offer are a TurboLinux essentials course covering Linux basics, user commands, KDE and Gnome desktops, and frequently used network administration commands; a system administration course; and a Network Administration course.
