By Sarah Left, 31 March 2000 16:48

NEWS Fujitsu Siemens Computers has dumped its two post-merger presidents and is now searching for a new CEO to define company strategy. The two former joint presidents - Winfried Hoffmann and Robert Hoog - will step down from their combined role, and executive vice chairman Tetsuo Urano will take over as acting CEO while the search for a permanent placement is in place. The company - headquartered in Amsterdam - was formed in October 1999 as a joint venture between Fujitsu Computers Europe and Siemens Computer Systems. In a statement, Fujitsu Siemens said it is seeking "an individual who can unleash the company's capabilities". Applications to http://www.fujitsu-siemens.com
