NEWS Corel's takeover of Inprise/Borland has come under criticism from a group of shareholders following a 65 per cent drop in the Inprise/Borland share price since the deal was announced in February. Kylee McKay, spokesperson for Corel, said: "A small but very vocal group of Inprise/Borland shareholders have voiced disapproval of the take-over but we [Corel] expect our shareholders to approve the deal in the summer." McKay said that all documents relating to the takeover have been filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and both companies are moving ahead with the agreement.
