Corel CEO quits

NEWS Michael Cowpland, the founder, president and CEO of Corel, has resigned from the troubled company. Cowpland said in a statement that he would continue as a director and advisor to the company, and remains its largest shareholder. He also said: "I am looking forward to dedicating more time to start-up ventures in the Linux arena." He has been replaced by Derek Burney who was previously Corel's chief technology officer.
